August 2024 Release Notes

August 16th, 2024

Overview

This week’s release contains an enhancement to orgs who rely on Admin Managed / Service Account Salesforce sync. 

We've also released more functional improvements to our SMS Meeting Reminders beta. 

Enhancements: 

[Beta] SMS Meeting Reminders

  • Enter Details page Customers have a need to ensure bookers are aware of how they can opt out of reminders and what their number will be used for.

    We have added a additional line of information on the Enter Details page under the Phone Number field to inform bookers of how we will use their phone number and how they can opt out.

    Beta Opportunity: If you would like to try out SMS Meeting Reminders, use the chat widget on the right to contact support. 

System Email Alerts

  • Activation Email The original activation email has become outdated and need refreshed to match our updated design language.

    The template has received updates to the format, spacing, design and copy that makes the email more approachable and useful.

Overview

This week’s release contains an enhancement to orgs who rely on Admin Managed / Service Account Salesforce sync.

Enhancements: 

Task Sync - Service Account based sync

  • In some circumstances the Salesforce service account used to sync objects would not have the proper permissions for syncing tasks and we would not clearly communicate that to the admins.

    We’ve enhanced the permission checking logic for Task Sync and will disable task sync while displaying a message letting the admin know they need to fix the permissions in order to enable this sync option.

Overview

This week’s release contains more enhancements to the sidebar and admin dashboard:

  • Admin dashboards now have a Smart Scheduler toggle to enable and disable the feature org wide. It is located in the Advanced section of the Scheduling Settings page.

  • We have added date localization to some of the scheduling UI elements so that it respects the user’s displayed date format.

New scheduling features available and coming soon

  • We have opened the beta for SMS Meeting Reminders and are looking for people who want to try it out. You can read about it here. If you're interested, click the chat bubble at the bottom right of the linked article and ask to have the feature enabled.
  • We are actively rolling out a new setting that is aimed at preventing double booked meeting when using our scheduling features. You can read about it here. We are aiming to have it rolled out to every one by the beginning of September. 

Enhancements:

Scheduling - Localization for date format

  • Our scheduling app has used the MM/DD/YYYY format on all screens where a date is displayed. For non-US users this would be confusing especially when only showing day and month.

    We have enhanced the following pages so that we detect the user’s localization value and display the date format based on this information:
    • Copy Times date
    • Insert Times date
    • Click to add times screen
    • Full Calendar view
Admin Dashboard - Smart Scheduler enable / disable toggle
  • It was not possible to control the enablement of the new Smart Scheduler feature for an org, which could make deployment and management difficult.

    Admin dashboards now have a Smart Scheduler toggle to enable and disable the feature org wide. It is located in the Advanced section of the Scheduling Settings page.

Overview

This week’s release contains more fixes and enhancements to the sidebar and admin dashboard:

  • We enhanced the Scheduling Usage Analytics page to include a Salesforce User ID column option (must be checked by the user to become visible).
  • While logging a call we automatically set the Type and Subtype fields to Call saving the user time.
  • We fixed a couple bugs related to Partner Admin access to Smart Scheduler and visibility of the Pronouns fields in the sidebar. 

Enhancements: 

Admin Dashboard - Scheduling Usage Analytics Dashboard

  • Because Username and Email Account values can be different it made finding specific users in the Scheduling Usage Analytics Dashboard difficult. We have added a new column for Salesforce User ID which allows admins to search by this ID.

    This column is not visible by default to save real estate on the page. Use the column picker to show the column:

Sidebar - Logging a Call

  • When logging a call users had to manually specify the Type and SubType making the process tedious.

    We now automatically set the field’s values to “Call” to save the user time. 

Fixes

Smart Scheduler - Partner Admin Access

  • A bug was discovered that prevented Partner Admins from being able to see and manage the Smart Scheduler product in any org.

    A fix was put in place to ensure Partner Admins can successfully access Smart Scheduler and manage the feature for the org.
Sidebar - Pronouns field 
  • A bug prevented the Pronouns field from being shown in the Sidebar’s contact card and layout editor.

    A fix was implemented that reveals the field in the sidebar.
