SMS Meeting Reminders Configuration

Overview

Meeting reminders play a huge role in the success of a meeting, which is why we're releasing SMS Meeting Reminders to automate the meeting reminder experience. This new feature includes both an admin dashboard settings page and a user dashboard settings page giving your org and users the controls they need to be successful. 

What's New?

A new Notification section has been added to the user dashboard that lets users configure the booking experience.

Through this page users decide how they wish to inform attendees about events they've booked through Cirrus Insight booking pages including: 

Require Phone Number on my Booking Pages: 
  • When this enabled this will make the Phone Number field required on your booking pages. The phone number field will be visible if you have any of the below reminder options enabled. 
Confirmation: 
  • When enabled we will send a confirmation message when a meeting is booked, cancelled and rescheduled:

1 Hour Before and 24 Hours Before Reminders:
  • When either of these settings are enabled, we will send a reminder to the booker at the appropriate time. When a meeting is rescheduled through the rescheduling link, we will automatically update the reminder time. 

    Important Note: If the meeting is rescheduled outside of the Cirrus Insight booking page or reschedule URL, the meeting reminder will not be updated so make sure meetings are rescheduled using our systems.

Will bookers automatically be reminded for every meeting they book with me? 

No, we do not automatically opt bookers into SMS reminders. They must provide their phone number each time they book a meeting through a Cirrus Insight booking page. This is done to ensure we're respecting the preference of the booker. 

How do I start using it?

All you need to do is visit the Notifications section of your user dashboard and enable the reminder options you wish to use, make sure to click Save at the bottom right. That's it! Your booking page will automatically display the Phone Number field on your booking pages.

You can visit your own booking pages to see the Phone Number field and even try it out by entering your phone number when booking a meeting. 

Please note that we currently support phone numbers from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

For Admins

An org level toggle has been created which allows admins to enable or disable the feature for all users in the org. Please note that if the setting is turned off, any pending notifications will be purged.
