Limitations of Lightning Sync | Cirrus Insight

Depending on your needs, Lightning Sync might not be the best fit for your organization.

According to Salesforce, there are some large limitations to Lightning Sync.

</div>“Currently, Lightning Sync doesn’t:

  • Sync events from Salesforce to Exchange
  • Sync recurring events
  • Sync invitees included in events
  • Delete syncing contacts in one action
  • Support Platform Encryption”

If one of these limitations would be a major issue for you, for example let’s say you use Outlook and an Exchange server, and want to make sure when you change an event in Salesforce it changes on your Exchange calendar, then we’d like to share that Cirrus Insight can currently:

  • Sync events from Salesforce to Exchange
  • Sync recurring events
  • Sync invitees included in events
  • Support Platform Encryption

We want to make sure you’re using the sync that’s best for your organization. If Lightning Sync isn’t the right fit at this time, we want to make sure you still have a calendar sync available to you.
